We are part of Eddisons, a national property consultancy firm with local knowledge and expertise. At Eddisons Asset Auctions, we are a leading national auction house providing specialist asset valuation and sale services for over 180 years. Our professional auctioneers are committed to providing reliable, transparent and efficient auction services for both buyers and sellers.
We sell assets through weekly online auctions including different methods such as negotiated sales, business sales, and tender sales. Our asset sales team specialise in insolvency sales, providing liquidation and bankruptcy auctions under formal insolvency procedures.
Our auction team has expertise in selling assets across varied sectors and industries, including construction, metalworking, and engineering. We can provide expert valuations for a wide range of asset types- from specialist tools and equipment, to heavy plant and machinery. Depending on the type of asset being sold, we will determine the best sale method to unlock the most value.
Examples of sectors we specialise in include, though are not limited to the following categories as we sell a wide selection of asset types:
300+
auctions conducted yearly
£6.2m
worth of lots sold last year
26,000+
buyers in our network
We provide accurate asset valuations and a transparent sale process within a quick turnaround time for buyers and sellers. Our auctioneers conduct regular sales each week, with a database of thousands of buyers who receive our weekly newsletter updates on relevant sales.
In order to bid for an auction you need to create an account through our online platform here. You then register for each sale separately which is an easy process once you have an account. Each auction has an end date / time specified.
If you are successful in buying a lot, once the auction has ended, you will receive an email with your invoice attached advising the next steps but once payment has been made, a collection note will be issued and you will be asked to book a collection appointment on the specified clearance dates.
Specialist assets in a limited market may be suitable for a tender sale. This is a type of auction where an asset is sold with a deadline date for bids. Interested parties have until that date to submit their best offer, without having seen anyone else’s bidding activity. Using the tender sale method may be best suited for those seeking to obtain a minimum price in a set timescale; it gives you an indication of what the market is willing to offer for assets.
For niche, complex or high value assets (where markets and buyers are limited) our expert negotiators have the market insight to sell your asset at the highest possible price, We will reach out to our database of buyers and research potentially interested bidders using business based social media and digital marketing.
Negotiated sales are usually sold via an invoice or a sales agreement the total of which is in addition to the auction total for the year
